You yourselves are the light of this society. A city has no power to be concealed seating itself on top of a mountain.

When you present your offering at the altar, do you heal yourself? You might be reminded that your brother has something against you.
Be friendly to that accuser of yours! Quickly! Until that time you are together with him in this way. No, then he might turn you over to a judge, that accuser of yours, and the judge to the deputy, and you will be thrown into a prison.
You heard that it was proclaimed, "No, you should not debauch."
If, however, that eye of yours, the right one, trips you up, lift it out and toss away from you! Because it gets you together when it destroys itself, one of those members of yours, and that whole body of work of yours should not tossed in a trash heap.
It was proclaimed, however, that Whoever loosens that woman of his, must give her a "will be leaving."
Again, you all have heard that it was proclaimed to those ancients, you should not nullify a vow. You will repay, however, to the Lord those vows of yours.
Nor on the ground because a footstool is for those feet of His; nor in Jerusalem, because a city is for the great king.
